Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Then, slice the top 1/4 inch off the top to expose the cloves.

Step 2: Wrap in Piece of Foil and Drizzle

Place the garlic heads on a piece of aluminum foil or a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap the garlic in foil and place the garlic on middle oven rack. Finally, roast the garlic for 40 minutes, until golden brown and tender.

Step 3: Cool

Remove from the oven. Once the garlic is cool enough, you can remove the roasted garlic cloves and use them to cook your favorite recipes. Or mash the roasted garlic and spread it on crusty bread slices, add to soups or white bean dip.
