Here’s a list of 50+ healthy dinner ideas and other skinny recipes to help you stay on track.
Just because you want to watch what you eat it doesn’t mean you can only eat salads and the occasional cracker. Although there are some salad recipes included here, there are some skinny recipes that include lean meats and other protein-rich ingredients. You don’t have to be a herbivore to have a healthy diet. Below is a list of other ingredients most commonly found in a health-nut’s cupboards in order to make skinny recipes.
Quinoa – Not only is this grain high in protein, fiber, folate, thiamin, riboflavin, and iron, but it also doesn’t contain gluten. It’s very satisfying to have these in a salad such as the Balsamic Quinoa Salad.
Kale – When this green is toasted into Kale Chips, it is a wonderful distraction from other salty snack-foods like chips and pretzels. They are high in vitamin K, vitamin C, and calcium. Plus it is found to reduce cholesterol and how much fat your body absorbs.
Fish/Shellfish – Fish and shellfish are very tasty and lean meats with very low saturated fat. It’s also said that fish is rich in omega-3, vitamin D, and protein. A Soy Ginger Garlic Fish is a tasty way to take the benefits of this dish.
Broccoli and brussels sprouts – Mom was right about eating those greens instead of just feeding them to the dog. Well, if you did end up feeding Fido your broccoli then he would end up with a high level of not only vitamin A and C but also is a good source of folates. Check out this recipe for Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts for an easy way to whip veggies like these up!
