Step 1: Cook Meat
In a large Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil on medium-high heat until shimmering; add the beef and 1 teaspoon of burger seasoning blend. Cook until meat is browned and beef is no longer pink. Remove ground beef from pot and drain off excess fat.
Step 2: Sautee Vegetables
Add onion, carrot, celery and house seasoning blend, and sauté until tender. Then, add basil and parsley. Sauté on medium heat for 30 seconds. Finally, add the chicken broth to the slow cooker, 2 teaspoons of house seasoning blend, and add potatoes; cover and bring to a boil.
Step 3: Make Flour Paste
Reduce heat and simmer on low heat for 10-12 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and add the flour. Whisk for 3 minutes, or until a bubbly paste forms.
Step 4: Add the Bacon and Boil
Add the flour paste and the ground beef to the soup and bring back to a boil for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add in the cheeses, milk, salt, and pepper to the soup and stir until cheese melts. Stir in chopped bacon bits. Top with extra shredded cheese before serving and enjoy!

hi there,
Was wondering what can I replace Velveeta with? I’m from Australia. And does All purpose flour mean plain? And how much Christine?
Kind regards
When does the ground beef get added? That isn’t mentioned in the recipe.
what step is the ground beef added?
