These Sweet Potato Baked Fries are a quick and easy easy side dish that can be made in the oven.
One day, while at a lunch meeting, I tried sweet potato fries for the first time. It was all downhill from there. Now, I’m a sweet potato fry seeking machine. Those little orangey sticks are so good!
Making them at home is actually pretty simple. There are only three ingredients and a few easy steps.

These were pretty good. They weren’t the same as you would get in a restaurant, but then again, I didn’t deep fry mine. These fries have a softer texture than regular french fries and they’re full of natural sweetness.
This is a good side dish recipe to have on hand. And, you can’t beat the fact that it only has 3 ingredients.

Ingredients
- 2 Sweet potatoes, peeled
- 3 tablespoons Canola oil
- 1 tablespoon All Purpose Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Cut peeled sweet potatoes into 3/4 inch sticks; Pat dry.
- Toss potatoes with oil and spread out on rimmed baking sheet making sure that the potatoes aren't touching.
- Bake for 20 minutes, turning potatoes half-way through baking.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle all purpose seasoning blend over fries.
Expert Tips

- Fries Crispier: Dry the uncooked fries well before coating them with cornstarch and oil. Moisture will prevent the fries from getting crispy.
- Parchment: Use parchment paper to line the baking sheets. This will prevent the fries from sticking and burning. Remove tray from the oven and use tongs to flip the fries.
- Season the Fries: Do not salt the oven fries before baking. Sprinkle the fries salt will draw out moisture and make the fries soggy. Season with salt after baking, remove from the oven when the baked fries are hot and crisp.
- Serving: Serve the fries hot and fresh. They will lose their crispiness as they cool down. You can reheat them in the oven if needed, but they may not be as crispy as the first time.
- Wedges: Make sweet potato wedges in place of the fries. Make sure you spread the fries in a single layer. Fries aren't the only way to bake them try sweet potato chips.

we’ve recently become introduced to sweet potato fries and they are pretty good. I haven’t tried making them at home yet, but I have made some sweet potato chips that aren’t bad. They are deep fried though.
Try some cinnamon/ sugar on them! It’s like a party in your mouth. Yummy!!!!
