How to Make Oreo Cookie Balls

These are the basic steps for making Oreo Truffles. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions.

STEP 1: OREO CRUMBS

First, place cookies in a food processor fitted with the blade attachment. Pulse until crushed cookies become fine crumbs. Then add cream cheese and pulse until completely combined.

STEP 2: 1-Inch Balls

Next, using a small cookie scoop or roll mixture into small balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet and then place peanut butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Coat each cookie ball in peanut butter and place back on parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator while you melt the chocolate.

STEP 3: MELT CHOCOLATE

Then melt chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave at 30-second intervals. Coat each cookie ball in melted chocolate, dip in the chocolate with a fork, allow excess chocolate to drip off and place back on parchment paper lined tray. Drizzle remaining peanut butter over cookie balls

STEP 4: CHILL

Finally, chill in the refrigerator and allow to harden.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces package cream cheese, softened, 1 package
  • 36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups )
  • 4 ounces peanut butter
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Instructions

  • Place cookies in a food processor fitted with the blade attachment.
