I absolutely LOVE when my son helps me in the kitchen.  He’s only 4, but already, he loves to help cook and bake.  I love that we’re spending quality time together and he’s learning so many great skills.  Someday, his wife will thank me too!

The other night I came across this great article on Williams-Sonoma’s Facebook page…so I “Face Lifted” it!  That’s when you copy/imitate/repost something that you saw on Facebook.  Isn’t that a great term?!?

I thought it was a great a list of ways you can get kids involved in the kitchen!

Do your kids help in the kitchen?  Do you have an aspiring mini-chef in the house?  I’d love to hear about it!

My son has been helping me forever. At first he just sat next to me and enjoyed while I operate the mixer, now he’s 4 years old and helps me with everything. It’s really fun!

I’m following you from Simple Stacie’s Fun Follow Friday hop …
    hope you’ll follow back 🙂

    I’m following you!

I love having my kids help me in the kitchen. Just the other night my daughter (7) decided we would make grilled cheese sandwiches. She got everything organized and ready to go (and I handled the frying pan). She was so pleased to have “made” supper…

Audrey has been cooking for over a year now and she is three. She has a special children’s knife made by Curious Chef. I found it on Amazon.com.

My own mom taught me how to cook when I was just a kid, it’s great that you cook with your kid.
I’ve bought a kid cooking knife for my 6 years old niece and she has been helping me in the kitchen.
I teach in a Japanese elementary school and I often attend the cooking classes, it’s amazing to see what the kid can cook.

Misono and Kai both make special knives for kids. I don’t know if they are available in your area, but they are really nice.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll have to look for those knives. Right now, I just give him a butter knife and his own cutting board. He loves it! Our time in the kitchen are some of my favorite memories!

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!
