How to Make Watermelon Sorbet

STEP 1: COOK

First, in small saucepan combine water and sugar together and bring to a slow boil on high heat, mixing well, until sugar is dissolved this creates a simple syrup. Set aside the sorbet base to cool slightly.

STEP 2: BLEND

Second, combine watermelon and berries in a blender and blend well until smooth and then add water to the food processor and blend well. No need to strain.

STEP 3: FREEZER

Finally, put the blueberry mixture in a glass dish and chill to freeze for two hours. Lastly, allow to soften slightly before serving.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups watermelon
  • 2 cups blueberries , fresh or frozen

Instructions

  • In small saucepan combine water and sugar together and bring to a slow boil, mixing well, until sugar is dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Combine watermelon and berries in a blender and blend well until smooth.
  • Add water mixture and blend well.
  • Put watermelon/berry/sugar mixture into a glass dish and freeze for 2 hours or until firm.
