Creating a Vacation Memory Journal is a great way to preserve precious memories of fun family experiences.
Every summer, my family heads to the beach for our family vacation. We go with another family to the same place every year.
Since day 1, we started traditions that our kids have come to love – such as morning bike rides on the boardwalk, the Sea Fairy and theme-nights.
Each vacation is an adventure – filled with fun activities and cherished memories.
To make sure that we remembered each and every one of these memories, my friend and I started a Vacation Memory Journal.
We purchased basic notebooks and began filling the pages with memories from each year.
We always start the same way…the kids’ ages and where we stayed. Then we include funny anecdotes, silly inside jokes and accomplishments from each year (this year the kids tackled their fear of Haunted Mini Golf…after 5 years!).
In the front of our journals, we came up with a few questions that we ask the kids every single year.
It’s fun to see how their answers have evolved over the years. However, morning bike rides on the boardwalk have been the favorite activity for five years straight!
To make sure we capture each and every memory, we get together after our vacation to fill in our journals. And, of course we enjoy a glass of our favorite wine!
This year, we tried Middle Sister Wines.
Crafted by award-winning winemaker Nancy Walker (a middle sister herself), the portfolio includes a wide variety of delicious red, white and sparkling wines from California and Argentina. These wines are based on a series of quirky “middle sister” characters who each claim their own varietal and personality – we loved the Sassy & Sweet Moscato!
It was light, fruity and the perfect accompaniment to our journaling session!
Middle Sister just received a brand makeover and now features “Drops of Wisdom” which are a dose of inspiration right on the front label. Isn’t that great?!
I picked up Middle Sister Wines at my local liquor store. We loved it so much that I will definitely be getting it again!
