Looking for fun and healthy snacks for your tweens? I have a list of options that are perfect for this age group!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of DOLE Fruitocracy. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
I can’t believe I’m even going to say this….my son is a tween! You know, that age between 9 and 14 where they starting to get too old for toys but not yet old enough for teenage interests?
Can someone please tell me where the last 10 years went? I know that I didn’t get any older so I don’t see how my little guy (and, yes, he will ALWAYS be my little guy) has become a tween.
If you’re the parent of a tween you may have noticed some subtle changes. The ones that come to mind for me are a definite interest in clothing. Gone are the days when I can pick out what he’s going to wear. There are now very specific rules (like no long sleeves!).
Here are some easy and healthy tween-approved snack options:
- No Bake Energy Bites
- Low fat yogurt with fresh berries
- Mango Pineapple Smoothie
- Popcorn mixed with nuts and fruit
- Cottage cheese and dried fruit
- Baked Garlic Crisps
- Hummus and carrots (or veggie of their choice)
- Fruitocracy fruit pouches
My son loves these new Fruitocracy pouches from Dole.
He loves the funky packaging and the taste. With six delicious flavors (like Apple Banana, Apple Mixed Berry, Apple Pineapple, Apple Strawberry, Apple Cherry or good ol’ Apple) in vibrant designs, they allow him to express his individuality.
So far, his favorite has been the Apple Mixed Berry but the Apple Cherry is a close second.
I love that Fruitocracy is all-natural. Each pouch is packed with the real fruit you and and free of what you don’t want – like high fructose corn syrup or refined sugars. Plus they are non-GMO and use all BPA free packaging. It’s a snack you can feel good about.
is perfect for school or on the go. I’ve been keeping a few in my bag for those times when we are on our way home from practice and he’s begging for a snack.
I’ve noticed that when he has friends over, they all go right to the Fruitocracy. They are definitely a hit in our house! You can find Fruitocracy at retailers nationwide or visit their website.
