Well folks, grilling season has officially started! Not that it ever really stops at our house. When Flatout Flatbread asked me to try their new Flatout Thin Crust Flatbreads and make grilled pizza, I was super excited!
They sent me two kinds of Flatbreads to try – Spicy Italian and Rustic White. The Flatbreads grilled up quite quickly, which makes them perfect for busy weeknights. I love the flavor from the grill too. The edges get nice and toasted. If you don’t have a grill, no need to worry. You can still whip up these recipes – just bake them in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes.
You can find them at most Walmart stores, click HERE to find out where they are in your area.
Make sure you pop over to Flatout’s Facebook page. They have a lot more great grilled pizza recipes. They are revealing a new recipe every day for 30 days and some of the links include coupons, so be sure to visit often.
My son and I put on our aprons and came up with two fun pizzas to try. The first was this Peanut Butter-Banana Grilled Pizza. It’s a spin-off of one of my husband’s favorite sandwiches. We loved how the peanut butter gets all melty and gooey. And, the sweetness from the honey sends it over the top. My son gobbled up about half of it!
Check out my other post to see the Chicken Caesar Salad Grilled Pizza that we made, too. This was such a fun way to create delicious flatbreads at home! Flatout Flatbreads are definitely a keeper!
Peanut Butter-Banana Grilled Pizza
Compliments of It’s a Keeper
1 Flatout Flatbread (I used Rustic White)
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana, sliced
Honey to drizzle
Place flatbread on preheated grill. Grill on each side for 2-3 minutes or until edges start to crisp. Remove flatbread from grill, and spread peanut butter evenly over the top. Arrange banana slices on top of peanut butter. Lightly drizzle honey over top of pizza.
