Can you cook a Bone-In Ham instead of a Spiral Ham in the Instant Pot?

STEP 1: Prep

First, start by lining you instant pot with aluminum foil to make the removal of the ham easier or use the trivet. Then place 1/2 cup of brown sugar at the bottom of instant pot.

STEP 2: Add the Glaze Ingredients

Next place the ham in the instant pot, top with the remaining brown sugar and the pineapple rings along with the juice mixture.

STEP 3: Set the Instant Pot and Let the Pressure Build

Turn the pressure cooker on high pressure and cook for 15 minutes with the pressure vent sealed. Finally, remove the seal to a quick release pressure then take off the lid, remove the ham and transfer to a serving platter, pour the glaze over the ham and serve the delicious brown sugar ham hot.

  • 5 pound Spiral boneless ham
  • 20 ounces Pineapple slices, 1 can with juice
  • 1 cup Brown sugar

Instructions

  • Place aluminum foil in your instant pot, so you can remove them ham easier.
  • At the bottom of the instant pot, add half of the brown sugar.
  • Place the ham on top of the brown sugar.
  • Put the pineapple slices between the ham slices.
  • Pour pineapple juice over the ham.
  • Top the ham with remaining brown sugar.
  • Turn on the instant pot, with the vent sealed, on high for 15 minutes. (It takes about 20 minutes to decompress)
  • Do a quick release. Remove from instant pot, serve while hot.
