Skillet Steak Sandwich Recipe – These savory steak sandwiches are easy and very flavorful

Skillet Steak Sandwiches

Sometimes, we’re just in the mood for sandwiches for dinner. Not the deli meat kind. Or even the toasted cheese kind. I’m talking man-sandwiches. Lots of cooked meat, a savory, flavorful sauce and a toasted bun. The kind of sandwich that requires two hands to hold it.

I love the Pioneer Woman’s new show Food Network! I love her cooking style and how they’ve incorporated her blogging into the show. On her first episode, she made Cowboy Breakfast Sandwiches. As soon as I saw them, I just knew my husband would love them! I knew, though, that I had to make a few tweaks to the recipe. So, the recipe that follows is my interpretation of the PW’s original.

Shrimp Tacos with Boom Boom Sauce

Usually for Taco Tuesday at our house I make traditional beef tacos or my Baked Chicken Fajitas. However, this week I decided to try something a little bit different — shrimp tacos.

While the shrimp were baking, I mixed up the Boom Boom Sauce. Have you ever heard of Boom Boom Sauce? I hadn’t…until this week. My friend, Angelina, had some leftover from one of her favorite sandwich shops. As soon as I tried it, I knew it would go perfectly with this recipe.

It took a little bit of trial and error to get the ingredients just right, but I believe I managed to make a pretty awesome copycat sauce. It’s a little sweet, a little garlicky and packs a nice boom! Not too much, though. Just a little zip to wake up your taste buds.

The best part was these shrimp tacos were ready to eat in under 20 minutes! Just 20 minutes.

There was so much flavor and texture in these tacos. We couldn’t get enough of them! In fact, as I’m writing this blog post, I can’t stop thinking about them. I’m going to have to make them again VERY soon.
