SKILLET STEAK AND POTATOES

IT IS A KEEPER

"PERFECT!"

There is nothing more iconic or delicious to the American culture as Steak and Potatoes. This recipe is a fast and delicious on the classic.  It's ready in 30 minutes and made one skillet.

INGREDIENTS

– 1.5 pounds flank steak – 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce – 2 tablespoons olive oil divided – 5 cloves garlic minced and divided – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper – 1.5 pounds baby yellow potatoes – 3 tablespoons butter divided – 1 teaspoon fresh thyme minced – 1 teaspoon fresh Rosemary minced – 1 teaspoon House Seasoning Blend

First, slice flank steak cross-wise, against the grain, into 1/4 inch thick slices. Next, in a small bowl, combine soy sauce and 2 cloves minced garlic.

Second, add 1 tablespoon olive oil then whisk to combine. Then, season with black pepper.

Now, add flank steak slices to marinade and toss to coat;  Set aside.

Meanwhile, cut potatoes into quarters.

Further, season potatoes with House Seasoning Blend and then add to skillet. Cook the potatoes for 4 minutes, turn and cook for 4-5 more minutes or until tender and then transfer potatoes to a plate and set aside.

Again, add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, along with remaining 3 cloves of minced garlic, thyme and Rosemary; stir for 30 seconds. Arrange flank steak into the skillet (reserve the  marinade).Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes, turning once.

Finally, add reserve marinade and potatoes continue to cook for 2 more minutes.
