Add vanilla ice cream, eggnog, nutmeg and vanilla extract to the blender.
Blend on high until fully combined.
Pour milkshake into a 16 oz glass and top with whipped cream and garnishes of your choice.
Notes
Food Processor: If you do not have a big enough blender, a food processor will also work.
Drizzle: A fun syrup on top such as a chocolate drizzle with a little chocolate syrup or try a cinnamon syrup drizzle. Or sprinkle a little pumpkin pie spice.
Rich: Try and replace the ice cream with vanilla gelato or frozen custard, top with crumbled cookies.
Temperature: Allow the regular vanilla ice cream to sit out at room temperature to soften to make scooping easier for the homemade eggnog milkshake.
