Place white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave at thirty second intervals until the chocolate has melted. Stir in between each interval.
Next, fold in the cake mix to the melted chocolate.
Then spread the popcorn out out parchment lined rimmed baking sheets. Pour the chocolate mixture over the popcorn. Coat completely.
Finally, sprinkle with festive sprinkles and allow to set completely.
Notes
Add Nuts: Place some peanuts in with the salty popcorn.
More: Sprinkle in some mini marshmallows, pretzels or coated candy pieces into the mix.
Variation tip: Drizzle a little dark chocolate or colored chocolate pieces such as green or red for Christmas.
Holiday: Use different sprinkles for different holidays, pink for Valentine's Day or orange for Halloween etc.
