STEP 1: Put Slits Into Your SquashWith a sharp knife, make several slits in the skin of the spaghetti squash. These lines should go along the line where you will eventually cut the squash in half lengthwise.
STEP 2: Microwave Your SquashPut the spaghetti squash into the microwave on high for 4-5 minutes. Note: you must make the slits in the squash before microwaving so the steam can escape.
STEP 3: Begin CuttingOnce your squash is cooled after removing from the microwave, begin by placing your squash on a flat surface like a cutting board. After cutting off the stem of your spaghetti squash, cut the body of your squash lengthwise along the dotted line you made in step 1.
STEP 4: Scoop the SeedsOnce you cut open your spaghetti squash, scoop out the seeds inside.Your seeds can be discarded, or kept and roasted for a yummy snack!
STEP 5: Cook Your SquashPlace the cut side of your squash down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 400 degrees until the outer skin is softened (cooking time depends on the size of the squash).
STEP 6: Loosen Your Squash NoodlesAfter baking, flip your squash over and free the noodles by using a fork.Enjoy!
