Cinnamon Chip Scones

Instructions
Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl.
Cut in the butter until the mixture forms pea sized pieces.
Stir in cinnamon chips.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the last three ingredients.
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. The mixture will be somewhat wet.
Scoop onto parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
Notes
Stud the Scones
: Studded with cinnamon chips on top of the scones for a great appearance.
Dried Fruit:
Try adding raisins, dried cranberries or other fruit to the scones with cinnamon chips.
Brush:
Using a pastry brush, brush the scones with heavy cream. Heavy whipping cream will help brown up the tops.
Freeze:
Freeze you butter and use a box grader to shred.
Warm:
This is a great recipe to serve warm scone. Top with jam, butter or clotted cream.
