Notes
Seasoning: Add some more flavor to this shrimp and rice recipe with Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and a dash of lemon juice. You can also try Italian seasoning as well.
Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta: Instead of rice, try risotto or even pasta. For a low carb option, try cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles. It's a good idea to salt the pasta water, so you don't have to use shrimp with salt.
Fresh Parmesan: Try grated parmesan cheese on top of the shrimp. For other garnishes, try a teaspoon of red pepper flakes or parsley. Just add the parmesan cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
Alternate ingredients: Substitute crab meat, garlic scallops, or clams instead of shrimp. You can even make a garlic chicken pasta salad with a few ingredient adjustments to this recipe.
Wine: Try a splash of white wine in the sauce, such as a chardonnay, or add some cream to thicken the sauce a bit. Just add the heavy cream or chicken broth to make the creamy garlic sauce thicken.
