Instructions
Combine warm water, yeast, sugar, dried milk, and 2 cups all purpose flour in a mixing bowl.
Let sit for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 425
Add thyme, salt, olive oil, and 4 cups scooped and leveled all purpose flour to the mixing bowl and knead for 10 minutes with dough attachment.
Mix shredded mozzarella cheese, 3 tablespoons olive oil and oregano in a bowl.
Lightly flour surface and roll it thin. Brush the top of the dough with melted butter and cover with mozzarella mixture
Roll the dough as you would a cinnamon roll and slice the dough in 1.5 to 2 inch sections.
Brush with egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water).
Bake for 15 minutes uncovered in a 425° oven. Cover with foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
Add Meat:
Sausage or Pepperoni are great.
Short-cut tip:
Use premade pizza dough from the supermarket or your local pizza place.
Variation tip:
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, garlic, onions, and peppers.
Alternate ingredient:
Whole wheat dough or gluten-free dough can be used.
Dietary consideration tip:
Dairy-free cheese can be used for this recipe.
