Cinnamon Chip Scones
This Cinnamon Chip scones recipe is so incredible for so many reasons. It creates a moist and tender scone that isn't dry. The smell that waifs through the kitchen as these are baking will make your mouth water.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Butter
- 1 cup Cinnamon chips
- ¾ cup Half and half
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture forms pea sized pieces.
- Stir in cinnamon chips.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the last three ingredients.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. The mixture will be somewhat wet.
- Scoop onto parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

- Stud the Scones: Studded with cinnamon chips on top of the scones for a great appearance.
- Dried Fruit: Try adding raisins, dried cranberries or other fruit to the scones with cinnamon chips.
- Brush: Using a pastry brush, brush the scones with heavy cream. Heavy whipping cream will help brown up the tops.
- Freeze: Freeze you butter and use a box grader to shred.
- Warm: This is a great recipe to serve warm scone. Top with jam, butter or clotted cream.
