Fruit salad with Cool Whip is a quick, no-bake classic made with fluffy whipped topping, juicy fruit, and mini marshmallows. It’s perfect for potlucks, BBQs, or easy weeknight desserts—simple to prep, endlessly customizable, and always a crowd-pleaser.
20ouncesPineapple tidbits in juice, 1 (20 ounce) can
3.4ouncesInstant vanilla pudding mix, 1 package
15ouncesFruit cocktail, drained, 1 (15 ounce) can
15ouncesPear halves, drained and chopped, 1 (15 ounce) can
10.5ouncesMandarin oranges, drained, 1 (10.5 ounce) can
6ouncesStemless maraschino cherries, drained and halved
2cupsMini marshmallows
8ouncesFrozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
Drain the pineapple juice into a large mixing bowl. Reserve the pineapple tidbits.
Add the instant vanilla pudding mix to the pineapple juice and whisk until smooth.
Add the reserved pineapple tidbits, fruit cocktail, pears, mandarin oranges, and maraschino cherries. Stir until evenly coated.
Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and whipped topping until combined.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Stir gently before serving.

Chilling for at least 1 hour improves both the flavor and texture.
Fold the whipped topping in gently to keep the salad light and fluffy.
If using fresh fruit, pat it dry thoroughly before adding it to the salad.
Toss apples or bananas with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
Start with fewer marshmallows if you prefer a less sweet salad and add more to taste.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
