Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

  • 3 large chicken breasts - boneless and skinless
  • 1 teaspoon House Seasoning Blend
  • 2 carrots - peeled and diced
  • 1 onion - diced
  • 2 celery stalks - diced
  • 2 cups chicken stock


  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh garlic - minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 package fresh gnocchi
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup frozen corn


  • Season both sides of chicken breast with House Seasoning Blend.
  • Placed seasoned chicken, carrots, onion and celery in slow cooker.
  • Add chicken stock to slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • When chicken is cooked, strain liquid from slow cooker and reserve it.
  • Remove chicken and and use 2 forks to shred it.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat.
  • Add garlic and stir for 10 seconds.
  • Whisk in flour and stir until a paste forms.
  • Whisk in reserved cooking liquid and additional chicken stock.
  • Add poultry seasoning and whisk until sauce thickens.
  • Add gnocchi, peas and corn and allow to sit in the sauce for 2 minutes.
  • Pour sauce over shredded chicken, carrots, celery and onion.
  • Serve immediately.
