In a large bowl, combine ground chuck and Burger Seasoning Blend.
Gently mix with hands until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
Divide meat into 6 equal portions and form into patties.
Brush one side of each patty with vegetable oil.
Place oil side down and grill over medium high heat for about 6 minutes per side for medium well or until center reaches 160 degrees F. (If you prefer rare, grill for 4 minutes per side.)
Remove burgers from grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes allowing the meat to come up to 165 degrees F.
Serve with your favorite toppings, such as my Burger Sauce.
Notes
Season it well: Use my Burger Seasoning Blend which has just the right amount of seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Use the right burger meat: I prefer 80/20 ratio ground chuck for a perfectly juicy and tender burger. It is the .best beef for burgers.
Cook it to 165 degrees: Use a meat thermometer to know when it’s done.
Top with your favorite fixings: This Burger Sauce is one of the most popular recipes on It Is a Keeper. Try lettuce, tomatoes or any of your favorites.
Hamburger Seasoning: Black Pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika and more of your own spice mixes to taste.
Cheese: Top with any cheese that you like.
Protein: Try an alternate protein such as turkey or even veggie burgers,
Form: Once your burger patty is formed, you want to press a little divot into the center with your thumb. This will ensure that it doesn't puff up in the center when cooking.
