Mix and bake all 4 cornbread mixes according to package instructions - let cool, crumble and set aside
Leave oven on at 400 degrees
In a large pot cook onion, celery, and bell pepper in butter until soft and fragrant
Stir in 1 carton of chicken broth and remove from heat
Add in crumbled cooked cornbread a little at a time until well combined
Continue to alternate adding cornbread and 2nd carton of chicken broth
Final mixture should have a little extra moisture so it won’t dry out during baking
Spray or coat a 13x9 pan with cooking spray or oil and add the mixture
Bake until firm in the middle and golden brown on top, about 30-45 minutes
Notes
Recipe Can be Doubled: This is a great recipe for a crowd. Simply increase the ingredients proportionately and split it into two baking dishes before baking.
Sausage: If you like a meaty dressing add a little crumbled sausage or Bacon.
Sweet: Like it Sweet? Of Course you can add a hint of apple or honey just like granny use to do it.
