8tablespoons everything bagel seasoning - +/- 1 tablespoon per bagel to taste
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add the sugar, yeast and water. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes. Frothy bubbles should form.
Add flour and salt and stir lightly for 1 minute. Then using your hands, lightly knead the dough. Roll the dough into itself and place in an oiled bowl. Cover with a damp towel and let dough rise for 1 hour.
Once dough is doubled in size cut into 8 even pieces. Form each dough into a ball by tucking in the edges of the cuts and rounding out on a flat surface.
Using your floured thumb and middle finger, create a hole in the center of the bagel and then lightly stretch the hole open about an inch.
Get a pot of water to boiling and the lower the heat to low. Bath each bagel in the hot water for 1-2 minutes on each side. The longer the bagel soaks, the chewier the result.
Season the bagels with 1 TBSP of the Everything Bagel seasoning.
Spray the air fryer basket with oil and place bagels in and cook on 350 for 8 minutes.
