Strawberry Basil Margarita

This Strawberry Basil Margarita is a getaway in a glass. With fresh basil leaves, strawberries, and a splash of tequila, you can enjoy this summer drink all year round.
Placed the strawberries, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and honey into the bowl of a blend or food processor; blend on high until fully pureed.
Pour the kosher salt onto a small plate. Run the juiced lime around the edge of the glass. Dip both glasses into the salt so that the rims are covered.
Place half of the chopped basil into each glass. Muddle the basil until you smell it.
Fill each glass with ice and pour half of the strawberry mixture into each glass. Garnish with extra sprigs of basil.
Christina's Notes
Herbs: Use cilantro, mint, or thyme in place of basil to make this cocktail.
Soda: Dilute with soda, frozen limeade concentrate, or lemonade for a twist on the classic margarita, so it isn't quite as strong. For a stronger margarita, you can also try maraschino liqueur or orange liqueur.
Strawberries: In addition to muddled basil, you can also muddle the strawberries to release the flavor. Add strawberries into a glass and pour.
