Vintage Lime Jello Salad
No ratings yet
Lime Jello Salad is creamy, fluffy and full of nostalgia. This holiday classic is made of pineapple, whipped cream, lime jello and cream cheese. It's one that everyone loves.
Dissolve 6 ounces of jello in 2 cups of boiling water and allow it to sit for 2 minutes.
Whisk in the cream cheese until fully combined.
Mix in the crushed pineapple with the juice and the cold water.
Pour the mixture into a bundt pan. You can also use a 9×13 dish or a jello mold.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
Christina's Notes
Ice Water: To ensure a quick set and a firm final texture, replace the 1/2 cup of cold water with ice water.
Unmolding Trick: Dip the bottom of the mold into a bowl of warm water to melt the outer layer, allowing it to slide out easily onto your serving plate.
Add-Ins: Save a small handful of the crushed pineapple and a tiny dollop of the cream cheese mixture to pipe onto the top. Garnish with the pineapple and a few chopped pecans.
