Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso
5 from 1 vote
Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso will awaken your taste buds and keep you coming back for more. Indulge in the perfect harmony of rich espresso, velvety oat milk, and the delightful sweetness of brown sugar.
If using instant espresso powder, stir it together with the hot water until completely dissolved. If using freshly brewed espresso, prepare it according to your espresso machine's instructions.
While the espresso is still hot, stir in the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until the sugar has dissolved. Let the mixture cool slightly.
In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla coffee syrup until light and frothy. A handheld milk frother works especially well.
Fill a cocktail shaker or Mason jar with ice. Pour in the espresso mixture and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.
Fill a serving glass with fresh ice. Pour the shaken espresso over the ice.
Slowly pour the oat milk into the glass.
Spoon the sweet cream foam over the top. Sprinkle with additional ground cinnamon, if desired, and serve immediately.
Christina's Notes
A handheld milk frother creates a thicker, creamier foam than whisking by hand, but either method works well.
Use good-quality instant espresso powder or freshly brewed espresso for the richest coffee flavor.
Adjust the amount of brown sugar to suit your preferred level of sweetness.
For a hot version, skip the ice and gently warm the oat milk before combining with the espresso. Top with the sweet cream foam just before serving.
Garnish with a light dusting of ground cinnamon or a sprinkle of brown sugar for a coffeehouse-style finish.
