Duck Fart Shot
No ratings yet
The Duck Fart Shot, despite its unusual name, is a serious party favorite you can make at home. With Bailey's liquor, Kahlua, and Jack Daniels whiskey, this cocktail shot is just what you need to get the party started.
Measure out your Kahlua and pour it into your shot glass.
Measure out the Bailey’s. Gently and slowly pour it over a spoon into the shot glass. Be sure the spoon tip meets the liquid already in the glass before you begin pouring.
Repeat the previous step with the Jack Daniels.
Christina's Notes
Chill: Always use chilled ingredients for the best layering effect. Pre-chill your shot glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before assembling the drink.
Use a Spoon: Use a bar spoon to slowly pour each layer over the back of the spoon. This helps the liquids flow gently and prevents them from mixing too much.
Density Matters: Pour the ingredients in order of density, starting with the heaviest (Kahlua) and ending with the lightest (whiskey).
The original shot used Crown Royal Canadian whiskey as the final layer. You can use any whiskey you prefer.
Pour Slowly: It’s important that the spoon isn’t held too high above the glass or the liquid already in the glass or it will mix the ingredients. It’s also important you pour it slowly. Too much weight at once will mix it as well.
Don't Mix: You’re not supposed to mix these ingredients before taking the shot. The top two layers will look like they’re mixing a bit; this is normal.
