Fajitas Seasoning Recipe
Homemade Fajitas Seasoning Recipe that tastes just like your favorite restaurant is easy to make at home. It’s one of those spice mixes that you won’t just use for fajitas but on so many things because the flavor that it imparts just can not be beat.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons Chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon Cayenne
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Stir to combine.
- Store in an airtight jar.

- Recipe Can be Doubled: Of course, make more, even triple and have it on hand when you need it. Store in an airtight container.
- Add Dried Oregano: A sprinkle of Mexican oregano is wonderful in this marinade. Cilantro is also a wonderful addition.
- Juice: Squeeze if fresh lime juice adds some zing. Citric acid gives a nice kick to the authentic mexican flavor.
- Variation tip: Feel free to add any spices that you enjoy it is great for sauces, soups, poultry etc. Make low sodium by adding a salt substitute.
- Smoked: Elevate your fajita seasoning with a pinch of smoked sea salt or smoked paprika. This makes it so much better than a store bought mix.
- Heat: Crushed red pepper flake or chili flakes will add great flavor and some heat to the fajitas.
