Triple Chocolate Brownies
These Triple Chocolate Brownies recipe is my grandmother’s Homemade Brownies scratch recipe. It is one of my most treasured recipes. Her brownies were soft and chewy and oozing with chocolate flavor.
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon strong coffee
- ¾ cup flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
- In a small saucepan over medium low heat, add butter, milk and sugar; stir continuously until it just starts to bubble.
- Remove from heat and stir in milk chocolate chips.
- Add chocolate mixture to a large bowl and stir in the eggs, one at a time, until fully combined.
- Stir in vanilla and coffee.
- Sift the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda into the mixture.
- Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×9 pan.
- Bake for 30 -35 minutes at 325 degrees.

- Add White Chocolate Chips: Make even more fun with white chocolate chips.
- Frosting: Top the coffee brownies with a velvety chocolate frosting.
- Variation tip: Warm the brownie in the microwave and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Alternate ingredient: Don't like chocolate too sweet try adding a bittersweet chocolate.
