These flavorful Veal Taco Crescent Ring is a true showstopper. This recipe combines the classic comfort of crescent rolls with the bold flavors of Mexican cuisine, creating a dish that's both delicious and easy to prepare.

  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 1 ounce Taco Seasoning Mix
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 cup Taco blend cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup Green onions, sliced
  • 16 ounces Crescent Rolls, 2 (8 oz )refrigerated Crescent Rolls
  • 1 Egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Add ground veal to a non-stick skillet and cook until fully cooked through.
  • Add taco seasoning mix and water ; stir to combine.
  • Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes or until the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Remove the veal from the heat and set aside.
  • Unroll both cans of crescent dough and separate into 16 triangles.
  • Spray a large cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
  • Arrange the triangles in a circle so that the shorter sides of the triangles form a 5 inch circle in the center of the ring. The dough will overlap.
  • Arrange the veal mixture evenly around the circle and top with the sliced green onions and shredded cheese.
  • Fold the pointed end of the triangle up over the veal mixture and tuck it under the center to secure it.
  • Whisk the egg and brush it over the crescent dough.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the crescent ring is golden brown.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before cutting into the ring.
  • Serve with your favorite taco toppings.

Christina's Notes

    • Soften the Dough: Let the crescent roll dough soften slightly at room temperature before unrolling it. This will make it easier to work with.
    • Brush with Butter: Brush the top of the ring with melted butter for a golden-brown finish.
    • For a Cheesy Crust: Sprinkle the top of the ring with grated Parmesan cheese before baking the Taco Crescent Ring .
