Peel your potatoes. Carefully use a cheese grater to grate your potatoes.
Place all of your grated potato in the middle of about 4 layers of paper towels, or a clean dish cloth. Bring the sides and corners together over the grated potato. Twist until moisture from the potato release. Continue to twist out moisture until no more moisture releases.
Add your grated potato to a bowl, and gently stir in the oil and salt, and pepper.
Add your grated potato to your air fryer.
Cook your hash browns at 370℉ for 7 minutes, shaking at the halfway mark.
Christina's Notes
Dry Potatoes Thoroughly: This is the most crucial step for crispy hash browns. Use paper towels to pat them dry.
Preheat the Air Fryer: A preheated air fryer ensures even cooking and crisping, perfect to make frozen hash browns patties in.
Use Enough Oil: A light coating of oil is essential for browning and crisping.
Don't Overcrowd: Cook in batches if necessary to allow for proper air circulation.
Flip and Toss: Flip or toss the hash browns halfway through cooking for even browning.
Season Well: Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices.
Use a Metal Spatula: A metal spatula is great for scraping up the browned bits on the bottom of the air fryer basket.
Use Parchment Paper: Parchment paper with pre made holes can help with cleanup.
