Blueberry Mini Brie Bites
No ratings yet
Blueberry Mini Brie Bites are the perfect holiday appetizer that can be made in just over 20 minutes. The pastry-wrapped brie is topped with blueberries, making them savory and sweet at the same time.
Liberally spray two mini muffin trays with baking spray and set aside.
Roll the crescent roll dough out on a clean surface or cutting board. Pinch together the pre-cut creases, then use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 24 equal squares. (I did 6 columns from the top and 4 rows from the side.)
Place each cut crescent dough square in the prepared mini muffin trays. Press down to form a small muffin cup.
Cut up the brie into 24 pieces and divide among all muffin cups. Top with 2-3 blueberries each.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden.
Christina's Notes
Chill the Pastry: Working with cold pastry is easier and helps it to be flakier.
Egg Wash for Shine: Brush the pastry with a beaten egg before baking for a golden-brown and glossy finish.
Ventilation: If using a fully enclosed pastry, make a small slit on top to allow steam to escape.
Monitor Baking Time: Baking times can vary depending on your oven and the type of pastry used. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
Let Them Rest Slightly: Allow the baked brie bites to cool for a few minutes before serving. This allows the brie to set slightly and prevents burning your mouth.
Pairing Suggestions: These pair well with sparkling wine, light white wines (like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio), or even a crisp cider.
