Copycat Taco Bell Baja Sauce
5 from 1 vote
ThisBaja Sauce is so much better than the bottled stuff. If you're like me, always on the hunt for that perfect creamy, tangy, slightly spicy sauce to drizzle over, well, everything, then you're in the right place. Get ready to elevate your tacos, burritos, and every other dish you want a blast of flavor.
Remove the seeds from the pepper and jalapeno and chop into smaller pieces.
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and blend for two to three minutes or until the sauce is smooth and creamy. To ensure that the peppers are fully mixed in, stop every 30 seconds to let the ingredients settle.
Let the sauce cool in the refrigerator for 4 hours. As the sauce chills, it will gradually thicken.
Christina's Notes
Use a Blender: A blender or food processor is recommended for a smooth sauce.
Taste and Adjust: Adjust seasonings to your liking. It is great for chicken tacos or steak tacos too.
Chill: Allow the sauce to chill for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to develop.
Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
Don't Over-blend: Be careful not to over-blend, as this can make the sauce too thin.
