Instant Pot French Dip Sandwich
5 from 7 votes
The best Instant Pot French Dip recipe is ready in just 30 minutes. The tender beef, gooey provolone and a rich au jus sauce go perfectly together in a soft French roll.
Set the instant pot to sauté and add the oil, beef, sliced onion and garlic. Sauté until beef is fully cooked.
Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, French onion soup, salt and pepper. Pressure cook on high for 3 minutes.
Manually release pressure and strain the juice into a bowl.
Once meat and onion are strained, add to a roll, top with a half slice of provolone and set sandwiches under a broiler for 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serve sandwiches with drained broth as a dipping sauce.
Christina's Notes
Short Cut: Feel free to use pre cut or shred beef for this recipe from your grocer.
Different Cheese: Try a different cheese for different flavors, Swiss cheese, gruyere, cheddar or whatever your family likes.
Dietary Consideration: Gluten free rolls can be used or pile this beef on rice or mashed potatoes, or enjoy it on its own. You can also use low sodium versions of the soup to make a little better for you.
Garnish: Add fresh herbs like parsley or chives to the au jus before serving.
Different Flavor: Add different ingredients to change the flavor. Try soy sauce, garlic powder or onion powder.
