Oven Baked Burgers

Baked Burgers in the oven or grilled outside, this recipe turns simple ground chuck and a homemade seasoning blend into a juicy patty. A short rest after cooking locks in the juices.

  • 2 pounds Ground chuck, 80/20
  • 2 tablespoons Burger Seasoning Blend
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 6 Hamburger Buns

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425℉ or preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the ground chuck and burger seasoning until just mixed.
  • Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form into patties about ¾ inch thick. Press a slight indentation into the center of each patty.
  • Brush both sides lightly with vegetable oil.
  • Place the patties on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160℉.
  • Let the burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Christina's Notes

  • Use 80/20 ground chuck for the best flavor and juiciness.
  • Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the burgers tender.
  • Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to help prevent shrinking.
