Strawberry Fluff Salad
5 from 1 vote
My family loves this Strawberry Fluff Salad. It is creamy and the kind of recipe that brings out the kid in everyone, and honestly, I'm totally here for it. Get ready for a dessert that's as easy as it is irresistible.
24ounceFresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
20ounceCrushed pineapple, (1) can, drained well
10ounceMini marshmallows, (1) bag
Instructions
Mix the strawberry jell-o mix and hot water in a large mixing bowl until the powder is completely dissolved. Next add in the cold water and stir together.
Chill for 15-20 minutes in the fridge.
Remove from the fridge then add the instant vanilla pudding mix and whisk until combined. Return to the refrigerator for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the refrigerator and gently fold in the Cool Whip with a rubber spatula until there are no more streaks of white, do not over mix.
Next fold in the fresh strawberries, crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows.
Return to the refrigerator and allow to set for 2 hours so the cream can thicken up.
Christina's Notes
Drain Strawberries Well: This is crucial to prevent a watery salad.
Fold Gently: Gently fold the ingredients into the Cool Whip to maintain its fluffiness.
Chill the Strawberry Salad Before Serving: Chilling allows the flavors to meld and the salad to set.
Add Marshmallows Last: Add marshmallows right before serving to prevent them from dissolving in the easter jello salad.
Use quality cool whip: Name brand cool whip holds up better than generic brands.
