Frozen strawberries release more water than fresh strawberries when thawed. This can make your fluff salad watery. The strawberries tend to be softer than fresh strawberries after thawing, which can affect the overall texture of the salad.

How to Store, Reheat and Use Leftover Cool Whip Jello Salad Recipe

You can make this easy strawberry fluff salad and use the leftovers in many creative ways. Here are just a few that I have done.

  • Storing Salad in the Fridge: Store leftover strawberry fluff salad in an airtight container or cover the bowl with plastic wrap in the refrigerator. It’s best consumed within 1-2 days. After that, the texture tends to become watery as the whipped topping breaks down and the strawberries release their juices.

  • Fruit Dip: Try this recipe as a dip for fresh fruit like apple slices, banana pieces, or berries.
