Pork Gravy
Pork gravy is not just great for meat but can also be used as a base for soups and stews, or as a sauce for pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. It can also be used to flavor casseroles or hot sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 3 tablespoons Flour
- ½ cup Pork drippings, with any fat drained out
- 1 ½ cups Chicken stock
- ½ teaspoon All Purpose Seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon Porketta Seasoning
Instructions
- Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat.
- When butter is melted, whisk in flour until a paste forms.
- Whisk the flour paste for about 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in the stock and pork drippings
- Stir in House Seasoning Blend and Porketta Seasoning.
- Simmer over medium heat until gravy thickens to desired consistency.

- Wondra: Replace the flour roux with Wondra to make an easy smooth best gravy.
- Vegetables: Try adding different vegetables to the drippings and broth for even more flavor.
