How to Core Pineapple

STEP 1: Using A Corer

Lay your pineapple on a flat top cutting board and cut about half an inch from the top off of the pineapple.

Next, pick up your pineapple so you can see its flesh and set it on a leveled surface.

Place the blade of your corer onto the exposed flesh of the pineapple, and then twist the corer in a clockwise direction. Once you feel some resistance to the twisting, you have reached the bottom of your pineapple.

Next, pull your corer out of the pineapple. To release the fruit, either press the release button or pull your pineapple out of the corer manually.

To get separate pineapple rings, use a knife to cut slits through the fruit.

First, lay the pineapple on a chopping board and cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple.

Then, cut the pineapple lengthwise into quarters and run the knife through the flesh of the fruit about one-fourth inch from the core.

Now flan the peel of the fruit from the skin’s flesh.
