  • Salt
  • Butter: Salted or unsalted butter, 16 Tablespoons..
  • Brown Sugar: Light brown sugar.
  • Granulated Sugar: You can use a sugar substitute for the mixture.
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Eggs; Large Eggs, room temperature, egg whites and egg yolk.
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips: Chips or Chunks can be great for this recipe.

How to Make Oreos Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the basic steps for making Oreo Choclate Chip Cookies. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions.

STEP 1: DRY INGREDIENTS

In a small mixing bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients. Then set aside.

STEP 2: WET INGREDIENTS

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamed. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Incorporate the ingredients into the wet, once fully combined fold in the oreo crumbs and chocolate chips.

STEP 3: CHILL THE COOKIES

Chill the cookies in the fridge for 1 hour covered. Just before you take the cookie dough out of the fridge line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.

STEP 4: BAKING CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Use a cookies scoop to get even sized cookies, place cookie dough balls 2″ away from one another. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a baking rack.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 10 Oreos, divided

Instructions

  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until creamy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.
  • Crush half the Oreos into a fine crumb, then break the remaining cookies into small pieces.
  • Add the crushed Oreos and the chocolate chips to the cookie dough and stir to combine.
