STEP 1Dry Ingredients

First, in a small mixing bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients, the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Then set aside. Crush the oreo into pieces and set aside the oreo pieces.

STEP 2: Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until creamed. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Incorporate the ingredients into the wet, once fully combined fold in the oreo crumbs and chocolate chips.

STEP 3: Chill the Dough before you Make the Cookies

Chill the cookies in the fridge for 1 hour covered. Just before you take the cookie dough out of the fridge line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.

STEP 4: Scoop of Cookie Dough onto the Cookie Sheet & Bake the Cookies

Use a cookies scoop to get even sized cookies, place cookie dough balls 2″ away from one another on baking sheet. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes. (Bake time may vary depending on your oven) Remove from oven and let the cookies to cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a baking rack.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • 10 Oreos, divided

Instructions

  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until creamy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.
  • Crush half the Oreos into a fine crumb, then break the remaining cookies into small pieces.
  • Add the crushed Oreos and the chocolate chips to the cookie dough and stir to combine.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop balls of dough. Place the dough on the lined baking sheet and press the ball down slightly. Top the cookie with two to three pieces of broken Oreo cookies.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are just beginning to brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
