Prepare and gather your ingredients and cut the apples to create the monsters mouth.

2. Spread the Nut Butter

Next, spread a layer of peanut butter into the cavity of the fruit.

3. Face

Place several almond slices into the peanut butter on the top of each apple section. Next add the monster’s tongue: Place a slice of strawberry onto the bottom of the cavity.  Finally, use peanut butter to attach the candy eyeball onto the apple section.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 apple
  • 2 strawberry, sliced
  • 20 sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 8 candy eyes

Instructions
 

  • Cut apple in quarters and remove apple core.
  • Use a paring knife to cut an opening into the center of each piece.  The opening will be the Monster’s mouth.
  • Using a butter knife, spread a layer of peanut butter into the cavity you cut into each apple.
  • Place 4-5 almond slices for the Monster’s teeth into the peanut butter on the top of each apple section.
  • Lay a strawberry slice for the Monster’s tongue onto the bottom of the cavity.
  • Use peanut butter to attach the candy eyes onto the apple section.

    super cute! Took these to the classroom halloween party but used soy nut butter instead of peanut butter as we are a nut free school. Super cute!
