Best Beef to Use for this Mississippi Roast Recipe

The best cut of beef to use for this Mississippi Roast recipe is Certified Angus Beef ® brand chuck roast.  Chuck roast is an affordable cut of beef that is quite tough which makes it perfect for slow cooking.

Chuck roast is a leaner cut of beef with little fat.  The long cooking time breaks down the connective tissue and turns it into a tender, fall-apart roast.  You can learn more about chuck roast here.  It’s readily available in most grocery stores and meat counters.
