  • Brown Sugar: Light or dark brown sugar are great in this recipe.
  • Honey: Raw honey or regular. They are both wonderful.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Use Sugar Substitute Products – If you are trying to lower your sugar intake, you can also make this recipe using sugar free brown sugar and normal honey.
  • Oven – You can also make this spiral glazed ham recipe in the oven. Cook at 350 degrees following the same steps. If you would like you can broil for 2-3 minutes at the end to get a nice crisp on your ham.
  • Ham Steak: Make this recipe for one or two by replacing the boneless ham with an air fryer ham steaks.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: If you do not have this vinegar, orange juice is a great substitute.

How to Make Ham in Air Fryer

These are the basic steps for making Glazed Air Fryer Ham. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions and nutrition information.

Preparing the glaze.

STEP 1: MAKE THE GLAZE

Start by preheating the air fryer to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan over medium heat add the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon and black pepper. Simmer until thickened. Remove from heat, allow to cool for 1-2 minutes.

STEP 2: ADD THE GLAZE AND AIR FRY HAM

Using aluminum foil, line a rimmed baking sheet or rack with tin foil or your air fryer basket, placing the ham in the center. Using a basting brush, apply ⅓ of the glaze over the ham. Then wrap the ham with an additional piece of tin foil. Cook in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes.

STEP 3: ADD MORE GLAZE

Remove the top piece of foil from the ham, and brush on another ⅓ of the glaze. Cover with tin foil again, and return to the air fryer for 20 more minutes.

STEP 4: REMOVE TIN FOIL

Now remove the tin foil and add the remaining glaze to the ham. Return the fully cooked ham to the air fryer for 3-5 more minutes uncovered until glazed nicely.

  • 2 ½ – 3 lb. Spiral cut ham
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
