Ingredients

Brown Butter Crust

  • 2 sticks Unsalted butter, browned
  • cup Brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 ½ cups All purpose flour

  • 1 can Sliced peaches, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons White granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Before you begin, make sure the oven is heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Transfer the peaches that have been drained into a mixing bowl and proceed to mash the slices into smaller pieces.
  • Remove any excess juice from the peaches and transfer them to a saucepan.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and add the lemon juice and sugar.
  • Allow them to cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches begin to break down and a syrupy consistency is achieved.
  • As the peaches cook, add 2 sticks of butter into a separate saucepan. Cook over medium heat until butter has turned brown and nutty.
