Why are my vegetables mushy?

When you pressure cook vegetables you wat them to be uniform in size. Denser vegetables like potatoes or carrots might need to be pre-cooked for a minute or two before adding faster-cooking veggies like peppers or onions.

Recipe FAQs to Make These Fajitas

How does the Instant Pot work?

The magic of the Instant Pot lies in its pressure-cooking capabilities. By trapping steam and creating a high-pressure environment, it cooks food significantly faster than traditional methods. This translates to perfectly tender steak in a fraction of the usual time. No more waiting around for tough, chewy meat to finally cook through!

Can I freeze the Instant Pot Fajitas?

Of course, you can place in an air tight container or freezer bag with the extra liquid. It will be good for up to six months. It is a great freezer meal.

Can I use this recipe for meal prep?

I love to use this recipe as a quick dinner option but also as meal prep for lunches. It holds up well for prepping ahead. And perfect when you need a little help.

What else can I use to make these fajitas?

One of the best way to have these Steak Fajitas is by making a fajitas fixings bar. Certainly for your next party or game night or even just Saturday dinner your family can add all their favorites and build their own. For Example:
