This Triple Chocolate Mug Cake recipe is one of the easiest dessert recipes you’ll ever make. It’s loaded with chocolate and takes only minutes to make.
I love it when my son cooks with me. Not only do we get to spend quality time together but it’s also a great learning activity.
Cooking and baking teach kids practical lessons in measuring, fractions, scientific reactions, and following a recipe. Plus, they are learning valuable skills that will help them as they get older.
I’m always looking for recipes that my son can help me with or even make on his own. This Triple Chocolate Mug Cake is one of those recipes.
Mug cakes are great recipes for budding chefs and bakers. You simply mix a few simple ingredients in a coffee mug and pop it in the microwave for a few minutes. That’s it. Nothing complicated.
This recipe was my son’s creation. He loves TruMoo chocolate milk (actually, we all do!) and wanted to incorporate it into his mug cake.
If you’ve never tried TruMoo hot, you don’t know what you’re missing. Try heating up a mug of TruMoo for simple and delicious hot chocolate. That’s what inspired him for this recipe.
This recipe is super simple to make. You start by adding the dry ingredients to the mug. Once you’ve added them all, give it a quick stir.
Then add the wet ingredients. Give it a final stir to make sure all of the ingredients are combined.
The last step is to pop it in the microwave. And, in under 2 minutes, you have a warm, delicious treat!
While this recipe is great for kids to make, an adult should remove the mug from the microwave as it can get pretty hot.
You’ll also want to make sure the cake has cooled a bit before you dive in — it’s hard, I know. Especially with all of the chocolately goodness just waiting to be devoured.
This Triple Chocolate Mug Cake goes perfectly with a cup of TruMoo hot. TruMoo’s nutritious and delicious chocolaty taste pairs perfectly with any warm drink or dessert recipe this season!
I just love easy dessert recipes and this one has to be one of the easiest! So, grab the kiddos and the step stools and whip up some of these easy, delicious, and fun mug cakes!

I tried this recipe but didnt have any trumoo, so I used regular milk. Turns it does not work well. The cake was still raw after a minute and 10 seconds…
This looks so good. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing with us all.
