These are the basic steps for making Biscoff brownies. Refer to the full, printable recipe card below for detailed instructions.

Four-step sequence of making biscoff brownie batter: 1) mixing wet ingredients, 2) adding dry ingredients, 3) incorporating eggs, 4) final smooth batter in bowls

1. Prep the Brownies and Melt Butter

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and prepare a baking pan with parchment paper. In a saucepan, melt the butter until browned and nutty.

2. Make the Batter

Add the browned butter to a large mixing bowl, along with 1⁄2 of the Biscoff spread. Whisk until the Biscoff completely melts into the butter. Then, add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, to the large bowl, and mix together until combined. Next, crack in the eggs and pour in the vanilla. Whisk the mixture until smooth and shiny. Then, sift in the flour and salt, folding together until a thick batter forms.

3. Mix the Biscoff Layer

Fold the butterscotch and chocolate chips, along with half of the crushed Biscoff biscuits, into the brownie batter. Transfer to the parchment covered baking dish and spread the layer of Biscoff cookie batter evenly. Add extra chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and Biscoff cookie crumbs on top of the cookie butter layer.

Fully mixed dough.

4. Bake the Brownies and Top

Bake brownies for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Then, leave the brownies to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares. After the brownies cool, melt the other half of the Biscoff spread in the microwave, and spread the cookie butter on top of the brownies.

Three-step sequence of baking biscoff brownies: 1) raw batter in pan, 2) cooked and sliced brownies, 3) brownies drizzled with chocolate.

Biscoff Brownies FAQs

The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, and the tops of the brownies are crispy.

Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature. They should stay good for up to four days.

Purchase Biscoff spread at your local grocery store, such as Walmart or Target. If you can’t find it, you can use any brand of cookie butter instead.
