Tips for Making Strawberry Brownies From Cake Mix
I love making different flavors of brownies, lemon brownies are a particular favorite. When the brownies are made with pudding in the mix it makes them even better.
- Don’t Overbake: Pull them out when the edges are set but the center still looks slightly underdone. They will firm up as they cool.
- The “Clean Cut” Trick: Wait until they are completely cool before slicing. For the cleanest lines, use a plastic knife (seriously, it works better than metal for brownies).
- Check Your Mix Size: Standard cake mixes have shrunk recently (from 18 to 15.25 ounces). If using a smaller 15 ounce box, ensure you aren’t using jumbo eggs, or the batter may be too wet.
- Serve this recipe with: Serve with Chocolate Glazed Biscuit Donuts, Strawberry Cheesecake Cookies or Red Velvet Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting.

This is a great recipe to make with kids. I used a different brand cake mix but same pudding brand. Used Lactose-free milk. We found the finished, cooled product, not ,like chewy brownies but more like rubbery cake honestly. I would not make it again.
That could be due to several factors, the pan size, was their fat in the milk? The oven temperature and cooking time.
